Workspace: Primary data processing environment. A workspace is a Databricks deployment in a cloud service account. Consists of Metastore, Access Control, User Management and Clusters/SQL Endpoints. Each workspace has local metastore which is a hive catalog, or can be a unity catalog

Unity Catalog: Centralizes Metastore, Access Control and User Management from multiple workspaces. Workspace then consists of Clusters/SQL Endpoints.
